Protocol between ICAD, Fundão City Council and ULS Cova da Beira

The signing of a protocol between the Institute for Addictive Behaviours and Dependencies (ICAD, I.P.), the municipality of Fundão and the Cova da Beira Local Health Unit (Unidade Local de Saúde da Cova da Beira, EPE) took place on 25 November in the Noble Hall of Fundão Town Hall.

With this protocol, residents of the municipality of Fundão will have easier access to health care in the field of Addictive Behaviours and Dependencies, namely in the case of Alcohol-related Problems.

The reinforcement of the Decentralised Consultation of the Cova da Beira branch of the ICAD CRI-Castelo Branco in the external consultation facilities of Fundão Hospital, provided by the ULS of Cova da Beira, will increase the response capacity.

Under this protocol, the local authority will provide all logistical support, including transport for users to decentralised consultations and other social support that may be necessary and available. It will also provide medical support through the Local Volunteer Bank.
