European Drugs Report 2025
The "European Drug Report 2025 - Trends and Developments", was released in Lisbon on the 5th by the European Union Agency on Drugs (EUDA).
Among the aspects highlighted in the document are the diversity and potency of cannabis products on the rise, the increased availability of semi-synthetic cannabinoids with unknown health risks, the growing social and health damage caused by cocaine and crack, the signs of increased synthetic drug production in Europe, and the challenges for harm reduction, related to the use of multiple substances and the diversity of injecting drugs, and the response to drug problems in European prisons.
Data on Portugal indicates that in 2023 and 2024, 6 sites related to the production of synthetic drugs were dismantled.
