The aim of this videoconference was to provide a moment of reflection on the results of the study on the consumption of alcohol, tobacco, drugs and other addictive behaviours in a school context, and to improve CAD literacy in the 13 to 18 age group.

Manuel Cardoso, member of the Board of Directors of ICAD, I.P., in his welcome speech, mentioned the importance of epidemiological studies for understanding the reality, trends and prevalence, with a view to defining measures and policies.

Vasco Calado provided a framework for the ECATD and left some reflections resulting from analysing the results of the survey. The moderator left challenges for the speakers to reflect on, according to their areas of speciality. Ana Catarina Mota focussed her analysis of the results in the light of current forms of parenting. Lia Pappamikail was challenged to analyse the results from the perspective of the generational dimension, focusing on the characteristics and behaviours of adolescents. Eduarda Ferreira sought to analyse the results from a gender perspective and Rui Lima shared his analysis of the relationship between the survey results and the work done in schools, particularly in the area of prevention.
