European drugs report 2024 to be released on 11 June
The European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) will present its annual report next Tuesday at an online press conference scheduled to start at 10.00 am Lisbon time.
How is the European opioid market evolving? Which substances are currently causing the most concern? How are countries reacting to cannabis use?
Based on data from 29 countries (EU-27, Turkey and Norway), the report presents the latest overview of the drug situation in Europe, exploring long-term trends and emerging threats. The comprehensive analysis covers drug consumption and supply, as well as drug-related harm and responses to it.
More than 100 interactive graphics complement the analysis, while interactive dashboards allow users to visualise data and trends at European and national level. Accompanying the report is the Statistical Bulletin 2024, which contains national datasets.
The event will be attended by Ylva Johansson, European Commissioner for Home Affairs, Franz Pietsch, Chairman of the EMCDDA Board of Directors and Alexis Goosdeel, EMCDDA Director.
